Abstract
The viability of partially substituting tea waste for cement in pavement is examined in this study. Tea trash is an inexpensive and easily accessible substance that could lessen the environmental effects of making concrete. Flexural, split tensile, and compressive strengths were measured at 7, 28, and 56 days after experimental concrete mixes were made with progressive percentages of tea waste substitution of 5%, 10%, and 15%. Results indicated that replacement of cement with tea waste, which we compare with a nominal mix of cement, is not up to the mark. After demolding, all the cubes, cylinders &prisms are kept in the curing tank for the required number of days. The specimens that were kept in the curing tank couldn’t absorb water properly. In conclusion, the specimens did not achieve the targeted strength.
