Abstract
This study provides a comparative analysis of various roofing systems, emphasizing both structural behaviour and cost-effectiveness under uniform dimensional parameters. Among the options examined, the flat slab system emerged as the most economical solution for short spans, while the steel roof truss proved advantageous for longer spans typically required in commercial and industrial buildings. The research underscores the importance of material management in achieving cost optimization and project efficiency. By minimizing waste and enhancing economic feasibility, effective material management plays a pivotal role in the overall success of construction projects. The findings contribute valuable insights for selecting appropriate roofing systems based on span requirements and economic considerations.
