Abstract
This study investigates the effects of mixed convection and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) on the flow of an Eyring-Powell fluid over a vertically shrinking sheet. The governing equations are simplified using similarity transformations and solved numerically in MATLAB using the bvp4c solver. The results indicate that a stronger magnetic field increases the velocity and temperature gradients, leading to higher skin friction and heat transfer rates. Similar trends are observed with increasing values of the mixed convection parameter. However, an increase in the Eyring-Powell parameter reduces these physical quantities. Additionally, the range of similarity solutions expands with the mixed convection parameter up to certain critical points.
