Abstract
In last years, biosensor based on photonic crystal fibre have taken a fancy to increasing interest because of the wide range of applications in many fields, including organic chemical detection, medical diagnostics, temperature sensing, environment monitoring, and etc.. In this paper introduces a highly-sensitive biosensor using a photonic crystal fibre (PCF) with dual-core structure employing surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology with gold films coating by laser. The sensor was evaluated through the method of finite element (FEM), incorporating with perfect matched layer (PML) of boundary conditions. By improvement the parameters of structure, including air hole diameter, gold film thickness, and lattice pitch.. The study examined resonance wavelength and confinement loss across different refractive indices of the analyte. Simulation results confirm that the sensor exhibits excellent sensitivity and tunability, making it suitable for biosensing applications.
